Industry Driven: Senior Kids Acting Performance Studio

Industry Driven: Senior Kids

Adult Screen Acting

Industry Driven: Senior Kids is designed for young performers, in Primary School grades 3 - 6, who are beginning to explore on-camera acting and industry-style audition skills in a supportive, age-appropriate environment. This class introduces students to the foundations of professional self-taping while keeping the focus on confidence, creativity, and clear storytelling.

Throughout the term, students work on TV and film scripts suited to their age group, creating self-tape scenes under the guidance of their acting teacher. Training focuses on working comfortably in a mid-shot, making clear and truthful choices, and staying connected on camera. Each class begins with improvisation-based warm-ups to build confidence and a sense of play. Students also begin to identify and understand their emerging casting type, learning how casting works for young actors, what casting directors look for, and how self-tapes are used in the industry.

Represented students use class time to refine age-appropriate casting material, with self-tapes filmed to industry standards. For unrepresented students, Industry Driven offers practical, hands-on guidance for both students and parents to support the pathway to agent representation.

All work is regularly reviewed on monitors in class to ensure students are confident, prepared, and progressing at the right pace. By the end of the term, students leave with two polished self-tape scenes, delivered via AirDrop or WeTransfer, suitable for casting profiles or agent use.

Be part of APS Industry Driven: Senior Kids in 2026, where young performers build confidence, screen skills, and creativity while having fun with fellow APS actors.
