Teens Spring Holiday Program

APS Teen Screen Acting Holiday Program

24–26 September 2026 (Thursday, Friday & Saturday)
10:00am–5:00pm Daily | Three Full Days | 21 Hours of Screen Acting, Filmmaking & Content Creation

Designed for high school students, the APS Teen Screen Acting Holiday Program is an immersive three-day experience where aspiring performers collaborate, create and film original screen content.

Across three full days, students develop characters, record video podcasts, film self-tape scenes, create an original short film, explore voice acting techniques and build confidence in front of the camera inside APS.

Whether students already love acting or are simply looking for a creative challenge during the school holidays, this program provides a fun, supportive environment to develop new skills, make new friends and create exciting projects to take home.

What You’ll Experience

Create Your Own Video Podcast

Working in small creative teams, students develop original podcast concepts before filming engaging video podcast episodes using the APS podcast studio. Through character work, interviewing, improvisation and storytelling, they create entertaining content while building confidence in front of the camera.

Collaborative Short Film Challenge

Students work together to create and film an original short film as part of a larger unfolding story. Each group contributes a different chapter, with the completed film revealed during the final showcase.

Self-Tape Screen Acting

Students work on a scripted scene while exploring practical screen acting techniques used throughout the industry. Through guided coaching, they strengthen performance choices, camera awareness and confidence while filming their own self-tape scene.

Character Voice Acting

Students step into the recording booth and bring animated characters to life while exploring vocal performance, character creation and voice acting techniques.

Daily Big Screen Showcase

At the end of each day, students come together to watch highlights from their video podcast recordings and filmed work on the big screen. These sessions are filled with laughter, creativity and encouragement as everyone celebrates what they have created.

Improvisation & Character Development

Creative improvisation activities and acting exercises help students strengthen performance skills, build confidence and develop believable, engaging characters.

Professional Actor Headshot

Every student receives a professional actor headshot, suitable for casting profiles, self-tapes, agency submissions or as a keepsake from the workshop.

Final In-House Showcase

Friends and family are invited to join us on the final afternoon as students premiere highlights from the creative work developed throughout the three-day program.

Take Home Your Creative Portfolio

At the conclusion of the Holiday Program, every student receives a QR code linking to their own private APS Dropbox folder containing the projects created throughout the workshop.

Each student’s folder includes:

  • Video Podcast Episodes
  • Edited Short Film
  • Self-Tape Scene
  • Filmed Character Voice Acting Performance
  • Professional Actor Headshot

Places are strictly limited to 10 students.
