Spring 2026

Confidence Starts Here These School Holidays

30 September – 2 October 2026 (Wednesday, Thursday & Friday)
10:00am – 5:00pm Daily | Three Full Days | 21 Hours of Acting, Filmmaking & Creativity

Designed for kids aged 7–12, the APS Screen Acting Holiday Program is three exciting days of acting, filmmaking, creativity and confidence-building.

Led by experienced acting teachers, students enjoy a fun, supportive environment where they build confidence, make new friends and explore the exciting world of screen acting through a variety of engaging hands-on activities.

With another series of highly successful holiday programs behind us and wonderful feedback from families, we're excited to welcome both returning and new students for another unforgettable Spring Holiday Program.

What Your Child Will Experience

Create Your Own Character Podcast

Using improvisation, storytelling and character development, students create and record their own original podcast episodes in the APS podcast studio, bringing a range of fun and imaginative characters to life.

Film a Screen Acting Scene

Students rehearse and film an engaging screen acting scene while learning how actors bring characters to life on camera through character development, emotion, blocking and performance.

Create & Film a Green Screen Commercial

Working in small groups, students invent an imaginative product before writing, performing and filming an entertaining commercial using costumes, props and a green screen.

Voice Over Character Performance

Step into the recording booth and bring animated characters to life through fun voice acting activities, learning how performers create personality using only their voice.

Chat to Camera

Students learn how to confidently introduce themselves on camera through fun audition-style exercises that develop confidence, communication and authentic screen presence.

Improvisation & Drama Games

Fast-paced drama games encourage creativity, teamwork, quick thinking and confidence while ensuring every day is filled with plenty of laughter.

Movie Time & Trivia

Relax with new friends before testing movie knowledge in a fun trivia challenge.

Daily Big Screen Podcast Showcase

At the end of each day, students come together to watch highlights from the day's podcast recordings on the big screen.

Talent Show

Finish the program with the much-loved APS Talent Show, where students perform for family and friends in a fun celebration of everything they've achieved throughout the workshop.

Individual Actors Headshot

Each child receives an individual headshot as a wonderful keepsake from their APS Holiday Program experience and to add to there acting portfolio.

Take Home the Memories

At the conclusion of the Holiday Program, each family will receive a QR code linking to their own private APS Dropbox folder, where all of their child's workshop creations will be ready to download and keep.

Each family's folder includes:

  • Character Podcast Recording
  • Filmed Screen Acting Scene
  • Green Screen Commercial
  • Chat to Camera Performance
  • Filmed Character Voice Over Performance
  • Professional Headshot

Your private Dropbox folder is yours to keep, allowing you to download, revisit and share these memories with family and friends long after the workshop has finished.

What Parents Are Saying

"We signed up hoping my daughter would enjoy herself. We never expected she'd be crying on the last day because she didn't want it to end.

The warmth, inclusivity and positive environment the APS team creates is something really special. Every child was made to feel welcome, encouraged and valued, and it was wonderful to watch my daughter's confidence grow throughout the week.

As a parent, I don't think there's a better endorsement than a child in tears because they don't want it to end. She's already counting down until the next holiday program because she can't bear the thought of waiting so long.

Thank you to everyone at Acting Performance Studio for creating such an inspiring and genuinely inclusive experience. We'll be back without hesitation."

— Jessy (Winter 2026 Holiday Program) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

"Yet again, this holiday program gets a 5-star review from our household! Our 9-year-old is busting to get to the program every single holiday break. From the skills they learn, the like-minded friends they make, and the bonds with the amazing staff, we cannot thank the APS team enough for providing such a wonderful, nurturing environment."

— Simone (Autumn 2025 Holiday Program) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

"We can't speak highly enough of APS classes and the holiday workshops. Our 7-year-old son absolutely loves being there, his passion is well fostered, and his confidence has grown immensely. The expertise and dedication Naomi and her team provide is outstanding."

— Katie (Winter 2025 Holiday Program) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

"Alessia has loved APS Moorabbin. She loves attending the weekly classes and holiday programs. It's been over a year now, and although she was already confident, her confidence and expressiveness have gone to whole new levels. At school, when she speaks in front of the class or parents—she smashes it! Other parents regularly comment on how confident she is. I have APS to thank for that. Thank you, APS!"
