NOVEMBER NEWSLETTER

Newsflash: We're back!

A Message from Naomi

So glad that we can open, even if it’s only until the end of term! I can see it on our guys faces, they are glad to be back and we are to glad to be able to put on a small soiree for the end of the year. What a ride we have all been on, thank you for being so patient. We are hoping we get some more good news tomorrow… fingers crossed!

Now the good news is originally we were doing a musical theatre performance on the 29th of November, which has now been rescheduled to happen mid next year. We will announce these Shirley Burke dates at the theatre next week. Now time for the exciting news! We are able to lock in the 6th of December for our end of year soiree! Yay! For this year, the Kingston Council are also doing live streaming for us as at the moment only 22 people are permitted to be in the theatre. These numbers will of course affect family members who wish to attend in person, however, these numbers may increase after tomorrow’s announcement – fingers crossed! To cater for these Covid restrictions, the live streaming means you’ll be able to watch from home for the first time! Woohoo!!

What’s going on?

End of Year Showcase

The end of the year is fast approaching and it’s time to send this crazy year out with a bang! The students have been hard at work on both zoom and in the studio (and in the car park!) to put together a brilliant showcase of pieces from their favourite musicals. This format is giving everyone to chance to develop at least two characters and to sing solo for an audience. We’ve really put the triple threat to use in these songs. You will see everyone showcase their acting, singing and dancing skills, and at the same time!

What You Need to Know

Some students have been asked today to look at home and see if they have any items of clothing that will suit their character. If they could please bring those items to the next class so that we can
finalize all costumes next week that would be greatly appreciated! Stay posted for a ticket sale announcement.
